Saudi launched E-Visa for Bangladeshis
Saudi Arabia has launched e-Visa for Bangladeshi citizens. Bangladeshis will not need a sticker visa to go to Saudi Arabia by availing this facility as the first country.
The e-Visa was inaugurated in a ceremony at the Saudi Embassy in Dhaka on Monday (May 1).
Isa bin Yusuf Al Duhailan, the Saudi ambassador appointed in Dhaka, said today is a historic day. Citizens of Bangladesh can travel to Saudi Arabia with e-visa from today. So sticker visa will no longer be required.
The ambassador said that earlier e-visa was available for Umrah of Bangladeshis. But from now e-visa can be taken for all types of visas.
In response to a question regarding the taking of Bangladeshi citizens from Sudan to Saudi Arabia, he said, Saudi Arabia has rescued 6,000 people from 100 countries from Sudan. Citizens of Bangladesh have also been rescued and brought. Anyone from Sudan seeking asylum in Saudi will be granted it. T
Director General of Manpower, Employment and Training Bureau (BMET) Shahidul Alam said that it is beneficial if the visa is in English or Bengali language. Because the Bangladeshi workers who go to the country cannot read Arabic language. We hope that Saudi Arabia will add English or Bengali language to e-visa later.
