International conference on Positive Bangladesh held in France

An international conference titled 'Positive Bangladesh' was held at the Ball Room of Campanile Hotel in Paris under the initiative of All Europe Bangladesh Press Club. It was a gathering of journalists, businessmen, socialites, politicians.

At the beginning of the program, the National Anthem was played by the assembled voices, and a minute's silence was observed in memory of all the martyrs who died in the Great Liberation War and Language Movement. The leaders of all levels of the organization welcomed the invited guests with flowers.

The invited guests from 17 countries from Europe, Middle East, Canada and Africa continent held an important discussion for three hours about the freedom of journalism, the history of remittance fighters, the role of expatriates in the formation of positive Bangladesh.

BCATF president Fakhrul Akam Salim was the chief guest under the chairmanship of the organization's president Faisal Ahmed Dwip chief advisor Sharif Al Momin, special guests were Shah Group chairman Satar Ali Sumon, former councilor of Lisbon, Portugal Rana Taslim Uddin, Mirza Group president Mirza Mazharul, BAF president. Saleh Ahmad Chowdhury, Comilla Samiti Advisor Mohammad Ali, Bangabandhu Foundation Vice President Ashraf Islam, CRAB General Secretary Mamunur Rashid, Development Women's Association President Toufika Saheed, prominent businessman Milton Sarkar and many others.

At this time, the speakers praised the journalists and said that every member of this organization is the watchman of Bengali media in Europe as a fearless soldier in objective journalism.

NRB CIP Toufiquzzman Palash and Sheikh Alamin, BBC Executive Director Jana Martin, Sarkar Group Chairman Lutfar Rahman Sarkar, prominent businessman, Shahadat Hossain, Mozammel Alam Dipu, founder and entrepreneur Abu Iman, for their special contribution to the economy of Bangladesh and special role in the social service sector. Administrative officer AM Azad, organization and entrepreneur Mizanur Rahman Khan were given Community Award. In addition, 5 meritorious individuals were awarded with the award.

In this event, MD Riaz Hossain News 24 Italian correspondent, Fatema Rahman Ruma DBC German correspondent, Mohammad Aslamuzzaman RTV Italian correspondent won recognition as Europe's best journalist in 2023.
