`Bangladesh Engineers Day` is celebrated in Emirates

The 75th "Bangladesh Engineers Day" was celebrated on Sunday (May 7) under the initiative of "NRB Engineers and Architectures", an organization of Bangladeshi engineers living in the United Arab Emirates.

Since independence, Bangladeshi engineers have been working in various related sectors including electricity, water, infrastructure construction. About seven hundred Bangladeshi engineers are working there in several important positions. There is a huge demand for this profession in the country.

Engineers complain that there are visa complications for new workers. However, the ambassador appointed to the Emirates said that visas are open for skilled workers in the country considering the demand.

Ambassador said in the speech of the chief guest. Abu Zafar said, 'Visas are open for skilled workers in the Emirates. Skilled engineers are also getting work visas in Abu Dhabi.

However, the ambassador advised the Bangladesh Consulate to check whether the country's Dubai and other provinces of the Northern Emirates have the same system.

Earlier, Engineer Ahmed Ikhtiar Pavel, the organizing secretary of the organization's Dubai Committee, planned and presented the engineers from different provinces of the emirate to highlight their experiences and various problems.

Engineers said that Bangladeshi engineers have been contributing individually and collectively to the country in the related sectors including electricity, water, infrastructure construction. Brightening the country's image on foreign soil. Even, these engineers remit at least two to four lakh taka from their monthly income to Bangladesh.

Engineer Moniruzzaman Mohan, manager of generation department of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, joint convener of the organization, gave a special technical speech on water purification. Apart from this, Bushra Anwar, MEP Lead Engineer of Jacobs and Shahriar Pavel, Chief Experience Officer of Huawei Mobile Services, presented special technical speeches on building construction engineering and future changing technologies. Engineer Muhammad Moinul Islam, General Secretary of Dubai Committee, presented a documentary about the role of engineers in building civilization and the history of Engineers Day.

In the speech of the special guest, Consul General of Dubai and Northern Emirates Bangladesh Consulate BM Jamal Hossain praised the talent and labor of Bangladeshi engineers for the development of the Emirates. He urged engineers to play a more important role in building a smart Bangladesh.

Under the chairmanship of Engineer Abu Zafar Chowdhury, the convenors of the organization, Engineer Moazzem Hossain, Shahidul Islam, Mominul Islam Manik, Habibur Rahman Kabir, joint secretary Milton Biswas and others spoke in the program. Meanwhile, the leaders of the provincial committee also spoke by suggesting to create good relations among themselves and share experience.
