5 Bangladeshis detained in Malaysia
The Immigration Department raided a residential area in Segambut Dalam, Kuala Lumpur and detained 78 foreigners, including 47 men, 25 women, three boys and three girls. Among those arrested, 73 Indonesians and 5 Bangladeshis.
The country's immigration department is conducting regular operations to eliminate illegal migrant settlements.
Kuala Lumpur Immigration Director Samsul Badrin Mohsin said, our immigration department has identified 9 settlements this year.
"In addition to the residences owned by locals rented to foreigners, these illegal immigrants also live on privately owned land."
During the Hari Raya (Eidul Fitr) celebrations of the Immigration Department at the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN) complex on Wednesday (May 10), he told reporters that some such incidents.
