Foreigners will encouraged to invest in Bangladesh
Current Bangladesh is safe for business. There are more than 100 economic zones with suitable environment for investment.
Major General Mohammad Asikuzzaman, the Ambassador of Bangladesh to Kuwait, presented these words to the foreigners during the celebration of Bangladesh's National Day and 52nd Independence Day on March 26 at Crowne Plaza Ballroom on Thursday (May 11) evening.
He said that Bangladesh will join the ranks of developed countries by 2041. Bangladesh government is working towards that goal. As a result, many people will be encouraged to invest in Bangladesh. The Ambassador requested Bangladeshis abroad to send remittances through legitimate channels to build Smart Bangladesh and keep the wheels of the country's economy moving.
The ceremony began with the performance of the national anthems of Bangladesh and Kuwait conducted by Secretary and Head of Embassy Niaz Morshed. Kuwait's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mansoor Ayyad Al Otaibi, ambassadors of various countries' missions in Kuwait, high-ranking officials of diplomatic and Kuwaiti ministries, members of the Bangladesh military contingent, local press media and Bangladeshi national media correspondents were present as chief guests. Finally, the program ended with a variety of pitha and dinner prepared by the expatriate Bangladeshis.
