Bangladeshi student found d e a d in Canada brought back home
The body of a Sylhet youth who was rescued from a rented house in downtown Montreal, Canada, has arrived in the country. The name of the young man is Yasin Mohammad Khan Fahim (26). The deceased Fahim's coffin was received by Fahim's relatives at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport early on Friday (May 12).
When the ambulance carrying the body reached Andiura in Madhavpur, Habiganj, at around 11 o'clock, hundreds of people gathered to catch a glimpse of it. At this time, a heart-rending scene took place amid the cries of the relatives.
It is known that Fahim went to a university in Montreal, Canada for higher education three years ago. He lived there in an apartment downtown.
It is reported that Yaseem's family has not been able to contact Fahim since April 23. Later, Fahim's friend Ariful was contacted in Canada. Ariful went to Fahim's house on April 26 and found the door locked from inside.
On receiving the information, the police came and recovered Fahim's body and sent it to the morgue for autopsy. After the post-mortem, his body was kept in the mortuary.
