Baisakhi festival organized in France
Baisakhi festival was organized for the first time in the city of Evrokh, one hundred kilometers away from Paris. The festival is organized by Bangladeshi expatriates living in Ivrokh town.
Expatriate Bangladeshi women, men and children living in Evrokh city participated in this festival organized yesterday Friday.
The event included various types of food including sports. Expatriates celebrate the day with joy and excitement. They participate in this life fair dressed in native clothes.
Various types of Pitha-Puli, Panta-Hilsha including all local food are entertained. Shahnaz Hossain, Mahi Akter Runa and Munita congratulated everyone present from the organizers.
The organizers said that Pahela Boishakh is the existence of Bengalis. They hope that Bangladesh will move forward by eliminating all differences. They said that such organization of Pahela Boishakh is very important for the next generation of immigrants to familiarize themselves with the country and the local culture.
