Threats to k i l l Sheikh Hasina, protests in Canada

Expatriate Bangladeshis living in Canada strongly condemned and protested the threat to kill Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the public meeting of Rajshahi district BNP convener Abu Said Chand.

Awami League leaders living in Toronto organized a protest meeting at 12 noon local time on Sunday. Rajshahi district BNP leader Abu Said strongly demanded that Chand be arrested and brought to justice.

The speakers said, on the instructions of those who gave such bold statements, they are also demanded to be found and brought to justice.

Speakers also said, I request Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal to look into the matter very seriously. Expatriate soldiers will not accept any negative statement about the leader. The speakers expressed strong condemnation and anger.
