Get together of expatriate Bangladeshis in Germany
Even though the Eid is over, the joy of the expatriates is not over yet. A gathering of expatriate Bangladeshis has been held in Mannheim, Germany. A large number of expatriate Bangladeshi families participated in this meeting under the direction of community leader Zillur Rahman.
Zillur Rahman, Shaukat Majumder, Emran Khan, Ghiyas Uddin, Monir Hossain, Habib Sarkar, Asma Islam, Saima Akhtar Soma, Maria Zaman, Shanta Islam and many others were in full cooperation in this gathering of expatriate Bangladeshis. Also present in the event were prominent people of Bangladeshi community including heroic freedom fighter Nurul Islam, heroic freedom fighter Aminur Rahman Khosru, heroic freedom fighter Abdul Basir, Mahfuz Farooq, Amanullah Islam.
The special attraction of the event was the participation of German-born children and teenagers and their various performances. Directed by Sanjeeda Munni, the dance of children and teenagers enthralled everyone. Also, various performances including Quran recitation and recitation by young children and teenagers make the program interesting.
During the event, special prayers were offered for the souls of expatriates who died recently. Newly married couples are also welcomed with flowers.
Organizers said that the event was organized to form a beautiful community and to spread the native culture among the new generation growing up in the diaspora.
