Two expats are killed in car crash in Portugal

Two expatriate Bangladeshis were killed in a road accident in Introcamento, Santarem district, Portugal. Three Portuguese nationals were injured in the incident and are being treated in hospital, one of them is in critical condition.
Expatriate Bangladeshis Shahinur Rahman (27) and Ibrahim Akhand (41) were victims of this accident on their way home after work on Saturday (July 9) evening in the car of their company. Later local doctors and emergency department personnel declared them dead after medical examination.
Deceased Shahinur Rahman's house is in Dakshin Balukhand of Nawabganj Upazila of Dhaka District and Ibrahim Akhand is in Rajair Police Station of Madaripur District. Their bodies have been kept at the Santarem Central Hospital morgue and the Bangladesh Embassy and Lisbon community leaders are in contact with the country's local administration.
Later, a family decision will be taken to bury the body or send it back to Bangladesh. The death of Shahinur and Ibrahim has cast a shadow of mourning on the Bangladeshi community in Portugal.
