Alumni meeting of Dhaka College in Sydney
"Dhaka College Alumni Association Australia" has started its journey to Sydney, Australia. A formal gathering was held last Sunday (July 16) at a restaurant in Sydney's Rockdale to mark the inauguration of the Alumni Association. This organization has been formed with former students of Dhaka College living in the country. Former students of Dhaka College living in Sydney participated in the first event.
Former students from 1965 to 2002 participated in this event. Mustafa Abdullah, a former student of 1965, brought up various memories of his studies during the event.
In the same episode, Ali Kazi, a former student of 1968, presented the history of Dhaka College students' role in language, independence and other democratic movements.
After that, songs and recitations were performed during the cultural program. It features Sydney's legendary artists Sirazus Salekin, Mamun Hasan Khan, Anupam Goswami, Akam Farooq and Amiya Mateen. Recited by Shaheen Shahnewaz. Pavel Dewan was in charge.
The event ended with hopes for bigger events in the future.
