Human chain at UN to demand elections under caretaker government
Bangladesh Nationalist Party organized a human chain program in front of the United Nations headquarters in New York on March 21st (Tuesday) at 3 pm local time to present a memorandum to the United Nations Secretary General demanding the independence of the judiciary and a fair and acceptable election under an impartial caretaker government in Bangladesh and the people's right to vote.
Habibur Rahman Salim Reza, Convener of New York City South BNP, presided over the human chain program. New York Metropolitan Southern BNP Member Secretary Badiul Alam conducted the Human Bonding Program with former President of BNP USA Alhaj Abdul Latif Samrat as the chief guest, former General Secretary of BNP USA Mustafa Kamal Pasha Babul as the keynote speaker, former senior couple of BNP USA was present as the chief guest. -General Secretary Anwarul Islam Anwar, former joint secretaries included Kazi Azam, Golam Farooq Shaheen, Firoz Ahmed, Acting Convener of New York State BNP Anwar Hossain, Convener of New York Metropolitan North BNP Ahbab Hossain Chodhuri Khokon, Member Secretary of New York State BNP Saidur Rahman Saeed and senior joint convener of New York Metropolitan South BNP. New York Metropolitan South BNP Joint Convener Emlak Hossain Faisal, Ruhul Amin Nasir, Khalkur Rahman, Ziaul Haque Mission, Nasir Uddin, Ripon Mia, Kamal Uddin Dipu, Zohra Begum, Rezbul Kabir, Sheikh Zahir, New York State BNP Joint Convener also spoke in the human chain program. - Convener Nasim Ahmed, Badrul Haque Azad, Dewan Kausar.
Saidur Khan Duke, joint member secretary of New York Metropolitan South BNP and Riyaz Mahmud, joint member secretary of New York State BNP, were in overall supervision of this orderly human bonding program.
The human bond program was also attended by North Joint Convenor AGM Jahangir, senior member former student leader Zafar Talukder and respected leaders of Metropolitan South included Jamalur Rahman Chowdhury, Sumon Sardar, Agriculturist Solaiman, Kamal Hossain Howlader, Abdul Mannan Hossain. Sakawat Azad, Tariqul Islam Prince, Jamal Hussain, Md Mohsin, Fardeen Roni, Rubel Ghazi, Mizanur Rahman Manik, Md Dulal, Litu Mridha, Md Misad, Md Babul, Md Alamin, Md Sohail, Mrs Ruma, North Member Liaquat Hossain etc.
In the chief guest speech, Abdul Latif Samrat thanked the leaders of New York City South BNP for presenting the memorandum at the United Nations headquarters and organizing the human chain program in the current crisis situation of Bangladesh and also for the independence of the judiciary in Bangladesh, the election of the National Parliament under an impartial caretaker government and the permanent release of Khaleda Zia. He announced that the struggle will continue until this is done.
In the president's speech, Habibur Rahman Salim Reza expressed his gratitude and thanks to all those who participated in the human chain program and the demand of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party and the entire people of Bangladesh for the movement of the national parliament election under a neutral and caretaker government in Bangladesh and the acting chairman of BNP Tarek Rahman's "Take Back Banglsdesh" -Until the final success of the movement is achieved, the New York Metropolitan South BNP expressed its determination to continue this ongoing movement by uniting the nationalist forces in the United States.
