Many are returning from the UK airport on care visas

As part of the first national survey of the adult social care workforce in England, the government is interested in hearing social workers' opinions about their working circumstances.A number of people have been sent back to their home countries on onward flights from some UK airports since Britain introduced new genuineness test policies on care visas.

Nazir Ahmad, Principal Barrister of Lincoln Chambers Solicitors told this reporter on Sunday night, We are aware that a number of people who came to the UK on care visas have been turned away from UK airports in the last two weeks. Basically, after the new policy of genuineness test came into effect from last August 7, the powers given to the immigration officer in the immigration law of Britain to send them back to their respective countries on the next available flight if there is a discrepancy in the interview with their documents after their arrival at the airport.

Barrister Nazir Ahmed further said that it is extremely inhumane to send a person back from the airport after coming to Britain after getting a visa. It is the responsibility of the visa issuer to verify these before issuing the visa.

It should be noted that the British Home Office implemented the new policy of genuineness test in the field of care visa from last August 7.

In the new policy, the applicant has to prove whether there is a genuine job guarantee at the workplace, direct contact with the employer, whether the applicant has been interviewed, training qualifications and experience of the applicant in the relevant visa, authenticity of bank accounts, etc.

The Home Office made the change following numerous complaints of bogus companies bringing people to the UK and offering them work in exchange for money.
