Bangladeshis invited to New York City Mayor`s residence

Bangladesh Heritage Day and Independence Day were celebrated for the first time at the residence of New York City Mayor Eric Adams on Friday (March 24). The expatriate artists enlivened the entire program with Bengali songs and dances. Expatriate dignitaries of various professions were present at the event.

In his speech at the event, Mayor Eric Adams said that the role of Bangladeshis along with other communities in making New York City beautiful is undeniable. Consul General Dr. Md. Monirul Islam said that this event is proof that Bangladeshis are becoming more important in New York City day by day. At that time, Bangladeshi Fahad Solaiman, a member of the mayor's advisory board, the main promoter of the event, spoke.

New York's mainstream politician Fahad Solaiman said, Bangladeshis are now a vibrant community in New York. No one can hold us back. Dr. Bangladeshi doctor in New York. Varnali Hasan said, we are all very happy to come to today's event. Many are joining our Bangladeshi community in New York. We hope that our community will gradually grow.

The ceremony was attended by New York State Assemblyman Jennifer Rajkumar, senior officials of the City Council. Musician Shah Mahbub, Priya Dance Academy and Tal-Tarang instrumentalists participated in the cultural program.
