Sylheti`s Akmal was honored as a remittance warrior in Portugal

Mohammad Akmal Hossain. He was born in Dasdal village of Vishwanath Upazila Rampasha Union of Sylhet. Father's deceased Abdul Gani. Moved to Portugal 13 years ago. Now his workplace is in Lisbon, Portugal. In 13 years he has become one of the best remittance fighters. He has become the country's third highest remittance provider by legally sending money earned from Portugal to the country this year.

As the third remittance warrior for contributing to the economy of Bangladesh, the Portuguese Embassy gave him a state honor. On March 17, he was officially presented with remittance honor certificate, crest and priority service card by Ambassador of Bangladesh Portugal Tariq Ahsan.

According to sources, the Bangladesh Embassy in Lisbon has for the first time decided to provide remittance honors for Bangladeshis living in Portugal. This time, the embassy recognized 10 people for contributing to the economy of Bangladesh by sending maximum remittances through valid channels after verifying the application. Among these 10, Mohammad Akmal Hossain of Vishwanath of Sylhet became the 3rd.

In this regard, Akmal Hossain said on the phone, I have been elected 3rd by sending remittances through legal channels in response to the call of the leader Sheikh Hasina. On behalf of all the remittance fighters in Portugal, I express my thanks and gratitude to the Bangladesh Embassy for giving me the honor and recognition. I sincerely believe that your honor and recognition will encourage and motivate all expatriates.
