Bangladesh Canada Association of Calgary Sports Competition
As always, this year also the sports competition of Bangladesh Canada Association of Calgary has been completed. It is attended by expats of various ages living in Calgary.
Among the various sports organized by Bangladesh Canada Association of Calgary, Badminton, Table Tennis and Keram competitions were notable.
Jayant Basu and Sanjay Mallick won the Badminton competition (doubles) tournament. The runner ups were Zubair Siddiqui and Shubhra Das Shubo and the third place was occupied by John Iftekhar and Sajid Khan.
Meanwhile, in the table tennis competition (singles tournament), Naeem ul Hasan emerged as the champion and Mizan emerged as the runner-up.
On the other hand, in the carrom (doubles) tournament competition, Asif Hussain and Shaon Subhan emerged as champions and Leone and Papon emerged as runners-up.
Prizes will be distributed among the winners at Bangladesh Center on Sunday (March 26) at 2 pm. Abdullah Rafiq was the grand sponsor of sports this year. The media partner was Alberta's first Bengali online portal Probus Bangla Voice.
President of Bangladesh Canada Association of Calgary Kois Chowdhury said, gratitude to all those who participated in it despite the busy schedule and difficulties. I want to be with you like this in the future.
General Secretary Shubhra Das Shubhra said that such arrangements in the diaspora should take us back to the days of the past. Thanks to everyone for completing all the events in a joyful atmosphere.
Sports Secretary Shakib Hossain said, "I congratulate all those who have given their time, participated in the competition and won and lost in the midst of busy work.
It is to be noted that on the occasion of the Great Independence Day, a discussion meeting and award distribution program has been organized at Bangladesh Center tomorrow at 2 pm.
