Distribution of NID cards to expatriates in UAE from July
Bangladesh's ambassador to the country, Mohammad Abu Zafar, said that the distribution of national identity cards will start from July this year for expatriates living in the United Arab Emirates.
The ambassador said this while attending an iftar party organized by Al Haramain Group in Ajman, Emirates on Tuesday (April 11).
Al Haramain Group, a Bangladeshi-owned company that manufactures famous perfumes in the Emirates, organized an Iftar, Khatme Quran and Dua Mahfil in honor of expatriates living in the country at their head office premises.
In the event, the ambassador also said that every expatriate should shine the image of Bangladesh abroad. He also urged the expatriates to be partners in the country's development by sending remittances legally.
Chairman of Perfume Company and NRB Bank Mahtabur Rahman Nasir (CIP) presided over the event. The Chief Guest was the Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Emirates Mohammad Abu Zafar and the Special Guest was the Consul General in Dubai BM Jamal Hussain.
In addition, two thousand expatriates of various professions from different provinces of the Emirates, including former ambassadors of the Emirates assigned to Bangladesh and eminent persons participated in the event.
The dignitaries present at the event thanked Al Haramain Group for giving the expatriates a chance to meet through this event. At the end, Mahtabur Rahman Nasir, chairman of Al Haramain Group, thanked everyone present.
