Companyganj construction worker died in Malaysia
Construction worker Monir Uddin (45) of Sylhet's Companyganj Upazila died after falling from a multi-storey building under construction in Malaysia.
He died on Sunday (April 15) around 10 am Bangladesh time while undergoing treatment. The accident happened last Saturday around 7 pm in the Cameron Highlands area of Malaysia.
Abdul Qadir, nephew of Monir and a resident of Malaysia, said that his uncle died after falling from a five-storey building while working. Monir's relatives got this news on mobile phone. He is the son of Rustom Mia of Dalirgaon Majhpara village of Telikhal Union of Monir Upazila.
Abdul Qadir also said that Monir went to Malaysia 9 years ago. He is survived by two daughters, one son, wife and parents. He was number four among five brothers and three sisters. Mourning is going on at Monir's house after receiving the news of his death.
Monir's family has sought the government's help to bring the body home. In this regard, Companyganj Upazila Executive Officer (UNO) Lusikant Hajong said, measures will be taken to bring the body home after talking to Monir's relatives.
