5 useful ways to reuse eggshells in the kitchen

Eggs are more or less present in our daily diet. As a good source of protein, this food is much more readily available than fish and meat. Its peel also has various uses.

Eggshells are excellent as a plant fertilizer. Wash the peel and let it dry well. When dry, crush into small pieces and sprinkle around the plant. The shells will gradually break down. It will be an excellent source of calcium for plants.

Pesticides
Pests are one of the biggest challenges gardeners face. Many are looking for natural ways to protect plants from insects without using chemical pesticides. Eggshells are great for this. It is a natural pesticide.

Bird food
Wash the egg shells. Now dry it and grind it into small pieces. Find bird nests or spread this powder on your balcony or terrace, yard. Birds will eat it whenever they come and it will help them meet their calcium needs.

Planting
Fill soil with broken eggshells and sow seeds in it. When roots start to grow from the seed, bury it with the peel in garden soil or tub. The plant will grow with nutrients.

Eggshells can come in handy if you want to clean dishes naturally. You can make a natural dish cleaning powder by mixing crushed eggshells with baking soda. It can remove all stubborn stains. Gently scrub this mixture with a sponge or cloth until the stain is gone. The eggshell will help remove the dirt and the baking soda will clean the rest.
