Osmani Hospital launched pass card system for patient`s relatives
Relatives of patients admitted to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital are now getting pass cards. The authorities have introduced this system of attendant pass card to prevent thieves, thieves and fraudsters. The patient's relatives have to collect the purse card from the hospital with a refundable payment of 150 taka.
According to the hospital sources, the visitor card was officially launched in the hospital on March 26, the Great Independence Day. Before this, the Osmani Hospital authorities exchanged opinions with journalists and Sudhijan of Sylhet and carried out multi-faceted campaigns including pulling banners and festoons to publicize the issue.
Hospital authorities say that a large number of brokers, thieves and fraudsters enter the Osmani hospital in the guise of visitors. Simple and poor patients from villages become their target and are cheated. Therefore, to provide quality and safe treatment, it is important to control the visitors who come with the patient. So this system has been introduced.
The Osmani authorities also said that 15,000 to 17,000 people come to seek healthcare every day, including hospitalized patients, their relatives, and outpatients. This makes it difficult for the administration to maintain the overall security of the hospital with limited manpower. Hence it became necessary to introduce the visitor card system.
Director of Osmani Hospital Brigadier General Dr. Mahbubur Rahman Bhuiya said - I have officially launched it since March 26. As a result, the movement of brokers and fraudulent gang members around the hospital has already reduced a lot. A massive campaign has been launched to make people aware of this. Once the people get fully accustomed to it, I hope the violence of brokers and fraudsters will be completely reduced.
It is to be noted that visitors can enter the Osmani Hospital during winter i.e. from 1st October to 31st March every day from 3pm to 5pm. And summer season i.e. from 1st April to 30th September the visitor entry time is fixed from 4 pm to 6 pm every day.
