Baby heat rash in the summer?

As with adults, overheating can be very distressing for children. Red rash appears on the baby's skin due to excessive heat. Doctors named it heat rash. If he sweats due to heat, he gets irritated at the rash. As a result, babies suffer more discomfort and cry.

Children of any age, from toddlers to school-aged children, can develop heat rash. This rash can appear in different parts of the body. This problem is more common in stomach, chest, neck, hips and folds. Children may not be able to explain his suffering. So as a parent you have to take the responsibility of keeping him well. Know what to do if a child has heat rash this summer-

Do not let it itch
Be careful not to touch the heat rash area with your fingernails. Because the infection can spread through nails. So in case of heat rash, make sure that the child does not itch there. You can gently wipe the affected area by soaking a soft and clean cloth in cold water. It will make the child comfortable.

Do not use powder
Many people use powder on the baby's body in summer. This is not true at all. Experts say that if powder is used, it blocks the way of perspiration. As a result, the problem continues to increase. Therefore, while solving the problem by using dusting powder, the child's suffering increases.

Light clothing
Along with adults, children should also get used to wearing light clothes. It will make it easier to stay healthy in summer. You can choose cotton clothes for clothes. But if you spend a lot of time under AC, put a little thick clothes on the baby. Experts say that if the sweat is dried by air and the skin is kept clean, there is no fear of sweat accumulation. As a result, the risk of heat rash is reduced. Do not cover a small child excessively with sheets or blankets. This can aggravate the problem due to sweating.

Bathe daily
Many people do not bathe their children every day. This cannot be done. Bathe the baby every day this summer. If the child goes to school, do not take him for a bath as soon as he returns home. First wipe off the sweat. Then ask him to rest for a while. If body temperature is normal then take bath. Use soap suitable for baby's skin while bathing.

Not in the sun unless necessary
Now the intensity of the sun is very high. So don't let the child out in the sun unless necessary. Especially from 10 am to 4:30 pm. Otherwise the problem of heat rash may increase. Also, before using any ointment or medicine, you must consult a specialist doctor.
