Many times sleeping on the left side is good if you fall asleep immediately after dinner. It digests your food slowly. Along with this, your body temperature is also better. Because the digestive system is on the left side of the body and the heart is on the same side. So on the contrary i.e. when one sleeps on the right side, the food is not digested quickly which is considered to be quite a loss for the body.
One should never sleep upright with a pillow, as this directly affects the bones of your spine. On the other hand, if you sleep on your left side, your spine will stay straight and you won't face any problems.
On the other hand, some people have the habit of sleeping on their stomach. You should not sleep with your stomach pressed, it causes the most damage to the body. Because sleeping on the stomach puts more weight on the body. As a result, the risk of heart disease remains.
Sleeping on the left side is best for pregnant women. Due to this, the health of the unborn child is not adversely affected. Besides, there is no problem of swelling in ankles, hands and feet.
Sometimes not sleeping on the right side can cause digestive disturbances. But sleeping on the left side allows the stomach acid to flow downwards instead of upwards, which prevents acidity and heartburn.
