Foodpanda to bring in-store grocery pickups to BD and Pakistan

Foodpanda will launch its in-person Pandamart store pickup service in Bangladesh and Pakistan "in the coming months."

The feature was launched in March in Singapore and is currently available in one Pandamart store in the city-state. Selected items are also available in all Malaysian stores, reports Tech in Asia.

Foodpanda also expanded the service in Hong Kong after first launching there in April. With this service, customers can get their groceries in the city in as little as five minutes.

Orders can be picked up in 15 minutes by customers in Singapore and Malaysia. A comparable omnichannel feature has also been released by Grab, one of Foodpanda's rivals.

Lukas Nagel and Rico Wyder founded Foodpanda in Singapore in 2012. The company, owned by Delivery Hero of Germany, provides services like food and grocery deliveries, dine-in payments and Pandago parcel delivery.

Foodpanda conducts business in Thailand, Taiwan, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Bangladesh and the Philippines. Recently, Foodpanda and AirAsia partnered, with the latter managing the food delivery portion of the travel app.
