WhatsApp bans 75 lakh accounts in a month!

WhatsApp is one of the most essential apps in the world today. As this messaging app provides various facilities to the user, fake news and violence are easily spread through it. The ever-active meta subordinate app to prevent that. And for that purpose recently around 75 lakh Indian WhatsApp accounts were banned.

According to WhatsApp, 74 lakh 52 thousand 500 WhatsApp accounts were banned in India in March alone. This rate has increased by 58.02 percent compared to March. The account ban rate is highest in April this year. And this proves that the trend of spreading fake news and violence is gradually increasing. But what other reasons have accounts been banned? How is the matter decided?

It is learned that the decision to ban an account goes through several levels. Whether or not the account will be banned depends on the user’s registration, messaging as well as receiving reports and block reports from other users. Accounts have been banned by the Grievance Committee (GAC) for breaking WhatsApp rules. Now the question is, how to protect your account? Meanwhile, Twitter banned more than 25 lakh accounts from last March 25 to April 26. These accounts have reportedly been banned for child abuse and gratuitous nudity.
