Xiaomi launches Redmi 12 in Bangladesh
Xiaomi has announced the release of the Redmi 12 in Bangladesh today. The smartphone is the latest addition to the Redmi Number Series and is part of the locally assembled smartphones from the #MakeInBangladesh project.
The device is equipped with a 2.0GHz MediaTek Helio G88 octa-core processor and is powered by the ARM Mali-G52 gaming GPU. It comes with up to 8GB LPDDR4X RAM. The Redmi 12 has a 6.79-inch FHD+ DotDisplay with a resolution of 2460 x 1080 and a 90Hz AdaptiveSync refresh rate.
It is backed by a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging. According to a press handout, the Redmi 12 features a crystal glass back design that serves both aesthetic and functional purposes. The smartphone is also built with dust and water resistance.
"We believe that the Redmi 12 will become one of the most popular handsets with its state-of-the-art premium crystal glass design and will be loved by Xiaomi fans in the country," said Ziauddin Chowdhury, Country Manager, Xiaomi Bangladesh.
The smartphone has a triple camera setup that includes a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2MP macro camera. It also features film camera filters that allow users to apply seven unique filters with pixel-level calculations and real-time previews. The device also has an 8MP selfie camera.
The Redmi 12 is available in three colors: Midnight Black, Sky Blue, and Polar Silver. It will be sold across authorized Xiaomi Stores, Partner Stores, and Retail Channels in Bangladesh starting today. The 8GB+256GB variant is priced at BDT 18,999.
