Celebrating International Women`s Day in Malaysia

Women's Day in Malaysia was celebrated by the Women and E-Commerce Trust (WE) Malaysia Chapter. On Sunday (March 12) at 4 pm local time, International Women's Day was celebrated at the 'Cloud Sixteen' hotel in the capital Kuala Lumpur.

On this occasion a special program 'Avirupa' was organized by Women and E-Commerce Trust (WE). The event was moderated by Vice-President Tiasha Cabez under the supervision of We Malaysia Chapter President Papia Akter.

The chief guest at the event was Segufta Nisar, convenor of women's section of Malaysia Bangladesh Forum Association, special guest was General Secretary Youth Hub and Connect Moderator, Google Local Guides Sumaiya Zafarin Chowdhury and Senior Lecturer of Management and Science University (MSU). Mahfuza Akhter.

In addition, the President of WE Nasima Akhter Nisha joined the special event virtually. Among others present were We Malaysia Coordinator Sadia Jahan Ayan, Coordinator Rezwana Chowdhury and expatriate women including members of We Malaysia.

This special event of Women's Day was celebrated through 'Avirupa' with felicitation of guests, distribution of prizes, cultural program, cake cutting and tea circle with food prepared by We Malaysia members.
