Trump released two hours after arrest
Former US President Donald Trump, accused in the case of porn star Stormy Daniels, was released two hours after his arrest.
After reaching the district court premises on Tuesday, he remained in police custody and hearing for about two hours there. However, CNN reported that he did not agree to answer any questions from reporters while leaving the court.
The next hearing of the case is scheduled for December 4.
But speaking to reporters outside court, Trump's lawyer Todd Blanch said the former president was "frustrated" and "depressed" after the indictment.
He accused the prosecution of the case as 'purely political'.
Donald Trump went to the District Court in Manhattan on Tuesday to appear in the case against porn star Stormy Daniels on charges of bribing him. The police took him into custody there.
Then when the court hearing started, 34 charges were raised against Trump. Trump claimed to be innocent of all charges.
Security has been beefed up in Palm Beach, where Trump lives after the hearing, ahead of his return.
His residence is installing bike racks along a stretch of road leading to Mar-a-Lago. Trump is expected to speak at his Mar-a-Lago resort on Tuesday at 8:15 p.m. local time.
Police did not tighten security when Trump left for New York yesterday. As he drove into New York, Trump supporters lined his motorcade.
The first president in US history to stand trial on criminal charges. Although Trump claims to be innocent.
If convicted on all charges, New York law carries a maximum sentence of 136 years in prison.
