Europe is leaning towards China, India`s concern is increasing
There has been a change in France's China-policy six months ago, which India is watching with concern. Not only France, many countries in the European Union (EU) have turned their eyes to China in the past month.
The President of the European Commission is in Beijing. Recently, in a speech in Brussels, he sought to shape Europe's future trade direction, saying that isolation from China would be harmful for Europe. Rather, the relationship with China, which has risks or dangers, should be minimized.
Several European leaders have visited China in the past few months. Among them are the French President, German Chancellor, European Council officials, Spanish Prime Minister. European leaders are believed to have visited China for multiple purposes.
Among these objectives is the Russia issue. Besides, they want to explain to China that Europe does not want to be a victim of US-China conflict. The EU and China have trade and services agreements worth $90 billion.
India is worried about the whole issue. China is one of India's biggest trading partners and also a huge strategic challenge. As a result, if China's relationship with France and Europe becomes closer, it may bring changes in the relationship between India and Europe.
