Did Joe Biden ignore UK PM Rishi Sunak?

US President Joe Biden visited Northern Ireland on a brief visit to mark the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Peace Agreement. He was welcomed at Belfast International Airport by UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

A video that has gone viral on social media shows that Biden did not recognize UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak. It seemed that Rishi Sunak, who was waiting on the tarmac along with other senior officials, was not being received by the US President.

Many are referring to this as the mistake of the US President. Others say, no, everything is fine. The US President duly greeted Sunak, shook hands with him and rubbed chests.

Fact-checking news agency AFP says that social media users shared a video saying that the US President came to Belfast on April 11. As seen in the video, he did not recognize Sunak and ignored him. This claim of the video is not correct. Based on an edited video clip, such a debate is going on in social media. The entire video shows the two leaders shaking hands and talking.

US President Joe Biden made a short visit to Northern Ireland to mark the 25th anniversary of the Good Friday Peace Agreement. Later he had a meeting with Rishi Sunak. A brief bilateral meeting was held between them at the hotel cafe.
