UK Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab has resigned after allegations of harassment against colleagues

UK Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab has resigned after allegations of harassment against colleagues. He announced his resignation from the British government on Friday as an independent investigation began against him.

Announcing his resignation on Twitter, the British politician wrote, "If I have been subjected to any kind of harassment, I request an investigation and have decided to resign." I believe it is important to keep my word.

Rishi Sunak took over as British Prime Minister in October last year promising to form an inclusive government. After he came to power, Raab resigned as the third most influential politician from his cabinet over personal misconduct.

Rishi Sunak appointed senior employment lawyer Adam Tolley last November to investigate two allegations of harassment brought against Raab.

He resigned within 24 hours of submitting a report alleging harassment against British Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab. But Dominic Raab has denied most of the allegations raised against him in the investigation.

Further allegations against him came from civil servants working with Deputy Prime Minister Dominic Raab. The British daily Financial Times quoted a person involved in the investigation as saying, "It is appalling."

The Prime Minister's spokesperson confirmed that lawyer Tolley had sent the investigation report to Sunak early on Thursday morning.

Talking to reporters, Rishi Sunak said that he has 'full confidence' in Rab. However, he is considering the findings of the investigation report very carefully.

In an interview last February, Raab insisted he had always displayed a professional demeanor. However, he said that he will resign if the allegations of harassment are upheld.
