Netherlands government collapses over immigration policy

The government of the Netherlands has collapsed over a dispute over immigration policy. As a result, new national elections have to be organized in the country.

The current coalition government led by Root came to power in January 2022. He became the first Prime Minister in October 2010, the fourth consecutive term as head of government with the current government.

Asylum applications in the Netherlands rose by a third to 47,000. Although according to official data this year this number will exceed 70 thousand.

This week Root wants to forcefully implement a plan. Among them, at least 200 refugees will be granted asylum in the Netherlands every month.

But smaller parties Christian Union and Liberal D66 opposed the implementation of the Prime Minister's plan. And from here the beginning of Sankar breaking.
