A discussion on Mahe Ramadan was held in Kuwait

Kuwait Islam Presentation Committee (IPC) and businessmen of Al Rai area organized a waj mahfil titled Welcome Mahe Ramadan. A discussion meeting was held last Friday under the chairmanship of Mamun Ahmed and moderated by Jasim Uddin.

On welcoming Ramadan, the speakers said, Ramadan should be welcomed by expressing praise and gratitude to Allah. All kinds of sins must be repented of. We should welcome Ramadan by getting out of all kinds of wrongdoing. Those whose rights have been abrogated must be restored. One must intend to spend the month of Ramadan with good deeds.
Hopes are fulfilled through such emotions. Individuals and society regain their dignity. On the contrary if Ramadan is only a matter of blind imitation. Some are called lifeless rituals of limited effect. If it is the case that sins and depravity increase during Ramadan instead of virtue, then this is spiritual defeat. It is definitely a devil's sport, which is bound to have adverse effects on individuals and society.

Director of Public Relations and Media Department of Islam Presentation Committee (IPC) Kuwait Ammar Kandari discussed as the chief guest, Dai Maulana Abdur Rab Sardar and Maulana Mamunur Rashid of IPC Kuwait spoke as special guests.

Expatriate Bangladeshis including Khatib Hafez Maulana Muhi Uddin of Wazaratul Awaqaf Kuwait and businessman Ishrakuzzaman were present.
