Fire after building collapse in France, 8 missing
8 missing in building collapse in France. The incident took place in Marseille, France. Two buildings have collapsed here. And they are believed to be buried under the building. The news was confirmed by Qatar-based media Al-Jazeera.
The two collapsed buildings were seen burning. So the rescuers delayed approaching the two buildings. As a result, it is still not possible to say for sure how many people are buried under the building.
Hundreds of fire service personnel tried their best to put out the fire. 17 hours after the collapse of the building, the situation has not stabilized, said the city prosecutor Dominic Lawrence. In the press conference, the prosecutor said, the fire started after the collapse of the building. This hampered the rescue operations and due to which the situation could not be brought under control.
Prosecutor Lawrence said police could not confirm whether a ninth person was missing. The man lived next to the collapsed building.
The building collapsed just before 1am on Saturday. Five people were injured. The Prosecutor General said in the press conference that the exact cause of the collapse of the building is not yet known. He said that the real cause of the collapse of the building will be known after proper investigation. and the number of casualties in building collapses.
