Putin quietly went to Ukraine again

Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the attack on neighboring Ukraine last year. President Putin has entered the country for the second time after Russian troops invaded Ukraine and occupied various areas.

The Russian presidential office, the Kremlin, said in a statement on Tuesday (April 18) that President Putin visited the "occupied" Kherson region of Ukraine. But the exact date when he went to Kherson is not mentioned. It means that the Russian President went to Kherson with great secrecy.

Putin met with the commander of the Russian Airborne Forces stationed in Kherson, Dnipro Army Group and other senior military officials, the Kremlin's Tass News reported.

Meanwhile, military officials briefed Putin on the latest situation in Kherson and Zaporizhia.

Earlier, President Putin entered the occupied Mariupol on March 18. At that time he entered Mariupol by helicopter. Then drive to different parts of the city. He also talks to common people. At that time, he visited Mariupol very quietly.

In May 2022, Russia captured Mariupol after defeating the Ukrainian forces.

Since then, the Black Sea region has been under Russian control. At that time, the troops of the Azov Brigade of Ukraine put up a strong resistance in the city. But they were trapped and captured by the Russian forces.

Meanwhile, by entering the two occupied territories of Ukraine in just two months, Putin basically wants to show the West that he still has full control over his forces and that his troops are ensuring the security of the occupied territories quite well.

In October 2022, Putin issued a decree acquiring Ukraine's Donetsk, Luhansk, Zaporizhia and Kherson. Since then, Russian officials have been claiming these areas as part of Russia.
