Saudi women will be appointed to military positions
Now in Saudi Arabia, besides men, women can also apply for military jobs in the Ministry of Defense. Recently, in a notification, the Ministry of Defense of the country has allowed men and women to apply. This news has been confirmed in a report by the Saudi official media Arab News.
It is said that last Tuesday, the Ministry of Defense of Saudi Arabia announced that both men and women can apply for various military jobs. Aspirants are requested to submit their application through Joint Military Recruitment Command website.
A high school diploma, a bachelor's degree and a diploma will qualify the applicant as a candidate.
Saudi Arabia allowed women to join the armed forces in 2019 as part of a broad program of social and economic reforms. Women were allowed to join the country's army, the Royal Saudi Air Defense, the Royal Saudi Navy, the Royal Saudi Strategic Missile Force, and the Armed Forces Medical Service.
The move comes under Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman's Vision 2030 initiative.
