According to the notification, very strong cyclonic storm 'Mokha' (ECP: 983 HPA) stationed over Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining South East Bay of Bengal area has moved north-northeastward towards East Central Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas (13.9°N latitude and 88.2°E longitude). ) is located.

It also said that at 12 noon on Friday (May 12), it was located 1005 km south-southwest of Chittagong seaport, 935 km south-southwest of Cox's Bazar seaport, 965 km south-southwest of Mongla seaport and 930 km south-southwest of Payra seaport. . It may move further north-northeast and intensify.

Therefore, Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra seaports have been asked to display 4 (four) local warning signals instead of 2 (two) remote warning signals and 4 (four) local warning signals. All fishing boats and trawlers in North Bay of Bengal have been asked to seek shelter immediately.

According to the Meteorological Office, local warning signal number four means that the port is affected by a cyclone. However, it is not yet a dangerous time to make final preparations for the cyclone.
