BNP-BCL men clash in Mirpur
The leaders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) and Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) locked into a clash near Government Bangla College gate in Dhaka’s Mirpur area around 11:15am on Tuesday.
Sheikh Aminul Bashar, Officer-in-charge of Darus Salam Police Station, confirmed the matter.
He said adequate police were deployed on the spot to control the situation.
The clash took place between the BCL and BNP as the party’s road march to press home their one-point demand reached near the college area.
Both sides hurled brick chips at each other. BNP men torched a motorcycle and a bicycle during the clash, Our Senior Reporter Mofizul Sadik said from the spot.
