Holy Ramadan starts from tomorrow

The moon of the holy month of Ramadan of 1444 Hijri was not seen anywhere in the sky of Bangladesh on Wednesday (March 22). As a result today Thursday (March 23) the holy month of Shaban will complete 30 days. It will start the holy month of Ramadan from tomorrow Friday. The fasting people will eat Sehri in the night before today. In perspective, the holy Shaba Qadr will be celebrated on the night of Tuesday, April 18 (26 Ramadan).

This decision was taken in the meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee at Islamic Foundation Baitul Mukarram meeting room this evening. It was presided over by the State Minister of the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Faridul Haque Khan MP.

In the meeting, the information received from all district administrations, Islamic Foundation head office, divisional and district offices, Bangladesh Meteorological Department and Space Research and Remote Sensing Institute regarding the moon sighting of the holy month of Ramadan in 1444 Hijri was reviewed. There was no news of the sighting of the moon of the month. As a result, the holy month of Shaban will complete 30 days tomorrow on Thursday and the counting of the holy month of Ramadan will start from next Friday. Accordingly, the holy Shaba Qadr will be celebrated on Tuesday, 26th of Ramadan.
