Parliament mourns the fire in Bongo Bazar

National Parliament has expressed deep grief over the terrible fire incident in Bongo Bazar, Gulistan. This condolence message was announced in the 22nd and special session of the 11th National Parliament on Thursday (April 6). At the beginning of the session, the speaker raised a condolence proposal Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury.

He said, we have already lost two former ministers and seven former parliamentarians. The National Assembly is raising a condolence motion on their death. They are - brave freedom fighter and former member of parliament Noore Alam Siddiqui, former member of parliament Reza Ali, former minister of information and communication Barrister Nazmul Huda, former minister of information and jute Habib Ullah Khan, former member of parliament Md. Delwar Hossain, Samsul Alam Pramanik, Md. Mozammel Haque, Anwarul Hossain Khan Chowdhury and former MP Enamul Haque. Abu Taher, photojournalist Jalaluddin Haider, photographer of the great liberation war era and permanent member of National Press Club, Shamim Sikder, sculptor and former teacher of Dhaka University, Ekushey medalist and founding chairman of Rangs Group A. Jatiya Sangsad expressed deep grief and sorrow over Rauf Chowdhury's death. The condolence motion was then unanimously accepted by the parliament.
