Prime Minister mourns Samaresh`s death

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of renowned Indian writer Samaresh Majumdar.
In a condolence message, the premier said Samaresh Majumdar, the author of countless novels including "Uttaradhikar", "Kalbela", "Kalpurush", has occupied a place of deep love in the hearts of the Bengali speaking people in Bangladesh, Kolkata and different places across the world.
Mentioning that various aspects of Bengali culture reflected in many ways in his writings, Sheikh Hasina said, "The literary world especially Bengali literature suffered an irreparable loss at the death of this eminent novelist".
The premier prayed for salvation of the departed soul and expressed profound sympathy to the bereaved family members.
