PM Hasina likely to visit India in September
Awami League General Secretary, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit India in September.
He gave this information at the ground-breaking ceremony of the Baroyarhat-Heyako-Ramgarh road widening project in the capital's Tejgaon road building on Wednesday (May 24) morning. Indian Ambassador Pranay Kumar Verma was present on the occasion.
Obaidul Quader said that our Prime Minister will go to India in September to attend the G20 Summit. In between we will have a party to party discussion. We have been invited by the BJP of India for that. We hope to go in July.
Addressing BNP, he said, in the name of movement, they (BNP) will commit anarchy, they will commit terrorist activities, this is their old nature. So when it comes to dealing with it, the situation dictates what law enforcement should do or what their responsibilities are. We will deal with any political issue politically.
He also said that politics also has a language. The incident that BNP has done two days ago... in Rajshahi they have threatened to kill the Prime Minister himself. There is no reason to think that he (Rajshahi district BNP convener Abu Saeed alias Chand) is a petty person. He is District Convener of BNP, Member of Central Committee of BNP I was surprised that Mirza Fakhrul who is the general secretary of the party did not utter a word.
The bridge minister said, what will you say if any of our district Awami League presidents say something offensive to Begum Khaleda Zia? He is not a little person, he is the leader of the district.
