Advance bus ticket sales for Eid-ul-Azha begin on Jun 13

The advance sale of bus tickets on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha will start from June 13. Bangladesh Bus-Truck Owners Association informed this on Thursday (June 8).

Shubhankar Ghosh Rakesh, joint general secretary of the Bus-Truck Owners Association and Managing Director (MD) of Shyamoli NR Travels, said that “the passengers will get tickets from the counter of the respective buses from the morning of June 13. From that day, advance bus tickets will also be available online”.

“Since this time is Qurbani Eid (Eid-ul-Azha), there may be vehicle pressure on both sides of the road,” Shubhankar Ghosh Rakesh also said. “Just as cars with homebound passengers will leave Dhaka, the trucks of sacrificial cattle will also enter Dhaka. As a result, the pressure on the road may increase this Eid.”

However, after all the calculations, we will sell the bus tickets in advance so that the buses can leave on time, he added.

About the additional bus fare on the Eid journey, Shubhankar Ghosh Rakesh said that the bus fare will be charged as per BRTA’s fixed fare. No extra fare can be charged beyond the fare list. All bus owners have been given that instruction.
