Eid-ul-Azha: Moon-sighting panel to convene todays
The National Moon Sighting Committee will sit in a meeting on todays to decide the date of Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of Muslims.
The meeting will be held at the Baitul Mukarram National Mosque conference hall in the capital after Maghrib prayers.
The committee will announce the date of Eid-ul-Azha after reviewing information about the sighting of the Zilhaj moon.
Meanwhile, authorities have requested all to contact the deputy commissioner or upazila nirbahi officer of their area if they sight the moon anywhere in Bangladesh sky.
