Petition seeking sedition charges against VP Nur
Al Mamun, general secretary of Muktijudda Manch, filed a case against the member secretary of the People's Rights Council, Nurul Haque Noor, accusing him of treason.
On Friday (July 7) afternoon, he filed a case against Shahbag police station on this serious charge. Shahbag police station officer-in-charge (OC) Noor Muhammad confirmed the matter to the media.
However, in response to this, the organization's joint convener and media coordinator Abu Hanif told Dhaka Mail, "The appeal of this case is part of the conspiracy that is going on against the member secretary of the People's Rights Council, Nurul Haque Noor."
According to the application of the case, the member secretary of the so-called political party called Bangladesh People's Rights Council, Nurul Haque Noor, while on a trip abroad, met with Mendi N Safadi, an agent of the unrecognized Israeli intelligence agency, Mossad, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. He has indulged in anti-national and anti-state conspiracy to overthrow the elected government of Bangladesh. Nurul Haq Noor's photo with Mossad agent Mendi Safadi and her confessional conversation are now at the center of discussion on various social media including Facebook.
It has also been said, "Nurul Haque Noor, by going abroad in the name of Tawaf of the Holy Kaaba and joining hands with the Jewish circle, has actually indulged in the nefarious plot of creating discord between the state, government and the holy religion of Islam. Nodding their heads in the shell of Islam, they are trying to create discord among the peace loving Muslims of Bangladesh in order to implement the Jewish-Zionist project. Threatening various people of the government on Facebook Live. Recently, in the speech of the convener of the People's Rights Council, Reza Kibria, the matter of Nurul Haque Noor's communication and financial transactions with Israel's Mossad has been proved.
The application also mentions that Nurul Haque Noor has links with Chittagong Hill Tracts rebel militant group Kuki China, which is against the existing laws of the country and amounts to treason. Nurul Haque Noor's contact with militant groups against the independence and sovereignty of Bangladesh proves that Noor actually wants to destroy the country's peace, order and harmony in the name of politics by using people's emotions under the command of foreign powers. Nurul Haque Noor has taken a position against the state by using some militant groups including Kuki China inside the country.
In view of all this, the general secretary of Muktijudda Manch Al Mamun has brought charges of treason in the application of the case. In the explanation of the complaint, he wrote that although the Bangladesh state has always been in favor of the rights of the oppressed Palestinians, Nurul Haque Noor and his political party Jan Adhikar Parishad, with the help of Israel and Mossad, are inciting ordinary leaders and activists to create hatred, animosity and chaos in the state and are involved in a conspiracy to overthrow the legitimate government established by law. Accordingly, Nurul Haque Noor has committed the crime of treason. So it is necessary to file a case under section 124(a), 120(b) and 506 of the Penal Code. However, the member secretary of the People's Rights Council, Nurul Haque Noor, was not immediately available for comment.
