Five dengue patients die; 1239 hospitalized in 24 hours
Five dengue patients died and 1239 were hospitalized in the last 24 hours. With the latest death, a total of 93 people died of dengue to date this year, a Directorate General of Health Services press release said.
Currently, 4,069 people diagnosed with the mosquito-borne disease are taking treatment at different government and private hospitals in and outside the capital of Dhaka.
Of them, 2,708 are being treated at the facilities in the capital while 1361 are in other divisions
As many as 17,382 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country since January 1 this year.
Some 13,220 out of the hospitalized patients, however, recovered during the period.
