AL-BNP rally: Over 50 suspects arrested during search

Police arrested more than 50 suspects from Aminbazar of the capital ahead of the rallies of various political parties including Awami League (AL) and Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) today.
Innumerous people have gathered in the capital join the rallies. Police have beefed up search at checkpost on Dhaka-Aricha highway especially Aminbazar- Gabtoli areas.
Passengers of various buses, private cars, microbuses and motorcycles are being searched from the morning. Even, mobile phones of them are also being examined. But police reportedly freed people who were found to be carrying nothing bad.
Abdullah Kafi, Additional Police Super (Crime and Ops and Traffic North Division) of Dhaka, said search is part of regular duty of law enforcers on the highway and city entry points.
