BNP men clash with police in Dhaka
The leaurday. ders and activists of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) locked into a clash with police at Dholaikhal intersection in the capital Dhaka after they started their sit-in programme there around 11:30am on Sat
Meanwhile, the leaders and activists of Awami League's organizations are in the field on 'vigilant guard' as per the previous announcement around BNP's program.
Manjur Morshed, who claims to be a former leader of the Chhatra League, said, "We have taken a position here according to the party's decision. We have taken a stand so that BNP cannot create any kind of chaos.
According to the previous announcement, on Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, the companions of the simultaneous movement of the BNP and the party will hold a peaceful sit-in program at the entrance of Dhaka. However, the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has informed that no party has been given permission to hold the sit-in program on Saturday.
