Information and Broadcasting Minister and Awami League Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud has said, “We want to win by playing with everyone in the election field while the BNP just wants to escape. I will tell them not to run away from the field.”
During a view exchange with journalists at the Secretariat on Tuesday afternoon, the Broadcasting Minister said, ‘Mirza Fakhrul yesterday said that the Awami League wants to score goals in an empty field. In fact, we never want to score in an empty field. We want BNP to participate in the next election with full strength.”
“But according to talks of the BNP, it seems that they want to leave the field for fear of losing the election. I will ask Mirza Fakhrul to come to the field and play with us. We want to win by playing. We want participation of all political parties in the next elections and through the elections the countrymen will elect the government of the future.”
Stating that we have confidence in the people, Hashan Mahmud said, "Today, the country has undergone a radical change under the leadership of Jananetri Sheikh Hasina, every town and village saw development and fate of people has changed. Now it is heard the talks of price hike of meat instead of rice and dal. Earlier people demanded brick-paved roads, now they demand carpeted roads.”
