Maldives expressed gratitude to Bangladesh
The Government of Maldives expressed its gratitude and appreciation for the decision to grant long-term visas to the students.
Thursday (March 30) Foreign Minister of Bangladesh. Maldives Foreign Minister Abdullah Shahid expressed his gratitude in a letter sent to A.K. Abdul Momen.
In the letter, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Maldives wrote, this decision will definitely help in solving the existing visa concerns of Maldivian students and interns studying in Bangladesh. Besides, it will serve as an incentive for Maldivian students to pursue higher education in Bangladesh in the future.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangladesh will grant visas to Maldivian students for the entire duration of their courses in various educational institutions or internship programs approved by the Bangladesh government.
The Foreign Minister of Maldives expressed hope in the letter that this decision of the Bangladesh government will be more helpful in strengthening bilateral cooperation as a positive reflection of high-level exchange of visits and official communication between the two countries.
Abdullah Shahid said that there are more opportunities for partnership between the two countries in the coming years in bilateral cooperation, especially in the field of health and education.
