`Click fight` to buy train tickets

Advance train ticket sale for April 20 is going on today. As April 20 is a Thursday, the demand for tickets is higher today than the previous days.

At the time of writing this report at 9 am, 5.5 million clicks were received on the server in the hour from 8 am for 27 thousand tickets. Those concerned are calling it a 'click fight' to buy train tickets.

It is reported that 18,500 tickets were sold online on 7 April, 25,200 on 8 April and 24,500 on 9 April. A little over 27,000 tickets will be sold today. Advance train ticket sales started from last Friday. Yesterday, 1.84 million people hit on 'Rail Apps' against advance tickets. This year's advance ticket sale will end with the sale of tickets on April 21. So tomorrow there will be several times more pressure.

As Eid will be on April 22, tickets for April 20 are being sold today on Monday. Naturally, it will be more difficult to get tickets today than the last three days.

Ticket sale starts at 8 am as per rules. It is reported that the tickets for the trains in North Bengal, Mymensingh and other regions of Jejub are in high demand and are sold out within a minute.

The railway authorities said that around 11 lakh clicks were received on the server at exactly 8 o'clock. Within the first five minutes, it became about 1.5 million. And within an hour the number of clicks exceeded 55 lakhs. Among these, the ticket pressure for longer distance destinations is higher.

Journalist Mohammad Akbar clicked on the server in the morning to go to Netrakona and found that all the train tickets in his district were sold out. He said that all the tickets were sold out at 8:01. I wonder how to go home. He claimed that online tickets are like a lottery. You keep clicking on the server and if the lottery takes place you will get the ticket.

Railway officials say, those who could not enter the website, could not select, that means everyone has already entered and booked the ticket. That's why you can't enter.

Railway officials said that about 8,000 people entered within 1 second of issuing tickets online. 10,000 to 12,000 tickets for cabin, AC and luxury chairs are sold within 1 minute. The rest are sold gradually.

Kamalapur Railway Station Manager Masud Sarwar said that Sunday and Monday advance ticket aspirants can buy tickets without server complications. Got over Saturday's problem. More than 1.5 million hits against about 27,500 tickets. He said, hundreds of times more hits than capacity are being read online. Some are lucky to get tickets, some are not. But we are selling tickets with 100% transparency.

Railway officials say that it is 'easy' to inform the railways with documents about how many tickets are being sold and how many tickets are unsold. The server has a capacity of 5 lakh hits per second. But on the contrary 20 to 25 lakh hits are coming every second. 1 crore 84 lakh hits in 3 minutes on April 9. It slows down the server.

Tickets without seats will be sold
Non-seated tickets will be sold for those who cannot get tickets. Kamlapur Railway Station Manager Masud Sarwar said that 25 percent tickets without seats will be sold on the remaining 36 inter-city trains except Dhaka-Chittagong inter-city Suvarna Express.
